I've been working at the salon now for about three and a half months. It's only now after an apprentice who's been there for maybe a year has been fired that I start my training. I felt kind of bad that I'm benefiting from her misfortune... but all the same, I'm glad to begin the next phase of my apprenticeship. I think my training will start when we hire another apprentice to replace the last apprentice who was just fired. This means probably in about two weeks or so. Colour me excited!
On a funny side note, we hired another apprentice maybe two weeks ago. He was one of the clients to the salon, and he was working as a model before he worked for us. His employment at our salon lasted one day. So this week, this new girl started... she's really great, and we'll see how she turns out.
