The Surprise
[journal] There are surprises like when you hear that someone you went to high school with is getting married and then there are whoppers like your ex girlfriend of less than a year is getting married.
I could write pages about this and though it would be therapeutic, I'm just not comfortable enough with this medium and also leery about who reads the most intimate parts of me.
I just wanted to note this particular event and write how relationships, even when they are over, are still complex (if you still care about the person). Relationships aren't something you can sit down, analyze and then work out. Logic isn't always its master. You are primarily swept along a raging physio-emotional course and have only two puny arms to frantically paddle in the unclear direction you presumably want to go.
